Thousands of people turned out for the Christmas lights switch-on and other attractions in Bourne on Saturday.
The community came together to enjoy the festive fun including market stalls, games, funfair and Santa’s grotto.
In the past there have been a series of separate events run in the town. But this year Bourne traders, the town council, schools and churches all came together to hold a joint Christmas event.
The main hive of activity was in the closed-off North Street and Abbey Road.
Visitors were also able to get some Christmas shopping done, with traders extending their opening hours for the day.
The Christmas lights switch-on, by mayor Helen Powell and Father Christmas in front of the town hall in North Street, was organised by the town council.
Beforehand children’s choirs from the town’s schools performed a medley of carols.
