EVERYONE in the community pulled together to make the annual Barnack and Villages Horticultural Show and Fete a success on Sunday.
A committee organised the show which took place at Barnack Cricket Club but committee member Judi Alston said it couldn’t have happened without the support of farms, which provided hay bales for seats for the dog show, and businesses, which also helped.
There were just under 400 entries in the horticultural show’s traditional classes and the dog show, judged by Shirley Smith, also proved popular.
Judi said: “It was a really good turnout and there was a lovely atmosphere. It wouldn’t have been possible without the sponsorship of businesses to make it happen. It was a real community effort.”
The committee is looking for new members and anyone interested can contact Judi on 07901 686142.
