A family fun day attracted dozens of people to enjoy a range of activities.
Uppingham Town Partnership organised the event in conjunction with Uppingham Town Football Club, which took place at Tods’ Piece on Sunday.
After very positive feedback from residents after last year’s event, the organisers felt it only appropriate to organise another event and it looks set to be an annual event to herald the start of the school summer holidays.
Despite dubious weather conditions setting up the sun finally shone and residents were able to enjoy the live music, barbecue, bouncy castle and a rounders game.
For those brave enough ‘Groovy Pets’ enabled adults and children alike to hold a range of exotic pets from snakes to lizards; although Ruby the parrot remained tightlipped throughout the event!
Lucy Stephenson, of Uppingham Town Partnership, said: “The main aim with this event is to provide as much entertainment as possible which is free for families to enjoy in a safe setting.
“I am looking forward to next year’s event already.”
