Youngsters from Wildcats Theatre School and Post 16 Academy in Stamford danced alongside shoppers in Tesco to help raise funds for Diabetes UK.
The simultaneous “Cha Cha Slide” dance on Saturday was part of Tesco’s national campaign and was held across all its stores to raise a target £10m for the national charity.
In the Stamford store, the dancers were first given a chance to practise in the warehouse and teach staff the dance moves before filling the isles to perform to a crowd of onlookers.
Caz Dolby, of Wildcats, in St Peter’s Hill, said: “We are keen to be involved in local events and this seemed like a fun and enjoyable activity for our students to get involved in.
“The children had a fantastic time and everyone was really pleased that they had been given the chance to take part.”
