A concert will be held with proceeds going towards an appeal to build a new hospice.
Music at the Manor will be held at the Manor House in West Deeping on Sunday, June 23, between 7pm and 9pm with proceeds going towards Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice appeal to build a new £6m hospice next to the current Grade I listed building.
During the event, local choir A Handful of Harmonies will perform and it is hoped it will be a perfect summer garden party.
Suzy Grigson decided to hold the event after reading about the Thorpe Hall appeal in the Mercury.
On the same weekend, dozens of gardens will open in the village for the biennial midsummer open garden event and Suzy said Music at the Manor will be the perfect end to the weekend.
Some of the concert proceeds will also go to the open garden fund and the choir. Tickets cost £5 and will include a glass of Pimms and canapes.
For tickets call Suzy on 07970 784668 or e-mail email@example.com.
The Sue Ryder charity is also opening its first Thorpe Hall appeal charity shop in Queensgate, Peterborough on Saturday. It will be the first of nine shops in the region to help the appeal, which has so far got £1.2m in the pot.
