The new Miss Rutland has been crowned.
Cottesmore’s Emma Chevalier, 22, beat 11 other women to the title in the competition final on Sunday last week.
A panel of six guest judges marked the finalists on their personality, confidence on stage and overall appearance. The woman took part in a fashion wear and interview round, where they got to show off their individual tastes, and an evening wear round.
And after almost an hour of deliberation the panel picked Emma to wear the crown. She will now go on to compete for the Miss Great Britain title.
Outgoing Miss Rutland Cara Pereira said: “I would like to thank everyone who supported last Sunday’s final and of course each of our fantastic finalists too and of course wish Emma the very best of luck as Miss Rutland 2014”
A total of £1370.42 was raised for Rainbows Hospice.
