Youngsters at St Nicholas Primary School in Cottesmore have been getting creative to make a scary Guy Fawkes for the village firework event.

Cottesmore’s annual firework display takes place on Monday at the village hall and community centre in Main Street.

The evening starts with a bonfire at 6.30pm and then the firework display at 7pm. There will also be a fairground as well as refreshment stalls. Entry is £3 for adults and £1 for children.

The event has been organised by the school’s PTFA committee, with the village hall management committee. Funds raised will be split between the village hall and the school.
