A man charged with assault causing actual bodily harm is now also facing a witness intimidation charge.
Adam Barker, 34, of Willoughby Gardens, Oakham, was due to stand trial at Leicester Crown Court on Monday for assault causing actual bodily harm following an alleged attack on September 19 last year.
But the trial has now been postponed after the witness intimidation charge was added.
Barker has denied the assault charge. No plea has been entered for the witness intimidation charge.
He has been bailed to appear at the court on April 30 for a plea and case management hearing for the witness intimidation charge.
He has been bailed on the condition he lives at a specified address in Manton and keeps to a curfew, monitored by an electronic tag.
Judge Sylvia De Bertodano also added a condition to forbid Barker from making contact with any prosecution witnesses.
