Police have appealed for information after a woman lost a handbag full of prescription drugs.

The woman had placed the bag on the bottom shelf of a pushchair while walking in Market Deeping at about 6pm on Wednesday. The bag fell off at some stage between Wellington Way and the junction of Towngate East and Halfleet.

The woman discovered her bag was missing a few minutes later and retraced her steps, but it had gone. Police believe it could have been picked up by another person.

The bag contained a large quantity of prescription medication including Pregabilin, Valium, Zolpiden, Sertrilan, Diazepam, Selatapram, Metazapine, and Lamoprizol. It did not contain anything else and is described as black fabric, approximately 30cm by 25cm, with zips and the letter “G” on the front of it.

If anybody finds the bag or knows of its location then please call police on 101 quoting incident 51 of April 2 or ask for PC49 OAKES at Bourne police station.
