POLICE are looking for a man who approached two children in a park at about 5.30pm on Monday.
He told the two primary school pupils, who were playing near the swings on the Recreation Ground in Stamford, that he was a “parental advisor”.
The man, described as Asian and in his early 20s, also asked the children when their parents were picking them up. The youngsters became suspicious and told their parents about the man when they got home.
Police are currently trying to identify him from CCTV footage taken at the time. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and a had rucksack.
Sector inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, Mike Burnett, said: “This is a cause for concern. Children who are approached by suspicious people should not engage them in conversation but should tell a parent or guardian immediately.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
