Police are appealing for information following damage to vehicles in Stamford and a man attempting to scam people.

A vehicle in Elizabeth Road, Stamford, has been damaged.

Both its front and rear windscreen were damaged between 7.45pm on Wednesday and 3.30am on Thursday.

Anyone with information should quote incident 17, of November 21.

Crimianal damage was caused to blue Peugeot 406 estate which was in a private carpark in the area of Green Lane in Stamford.

The passenger side of the vehicle was scratched along the wing and doors between midday on Friday last week and 7.30am on Tuesday.

Quoting incident number 227 of November 19 with information.

Police are also warning of an Italian man driving a white Ford Fiesta, partial registration FP13, who has been reported attempting to scam people in the Bourne, Stamford and Market Deeping area yesterday (Thursday)

The man is asking members of the public for directions to Stansted Airport, then claims he has no fuel to get there and exchange watches for cash.
