POLICE have released CCTV images of a man who tried to steal a jacket from a country clothing shop.
The man pictured above walked into T&C Robinsons in St Mary’s Street, Stamford, at about 11am on May 29 and picked up two Barbour jackets.
Police say he took them into the changing rooms and placed one inside his briefcase before attempting to leave the store.
PC Gareth Ramsey added: “When challenged by staff, he produced the jacket concealed in his case before leaving very hurriedly.
“This male may also be suspected of similar thefts of high value clothing around the surrounding areas.”
