The Mercury carries details of cases heard at magistrates courts. The details are taken from the court registers once cases are completed.

Leicester Magistrates Court

April 3: John Cadwallader, 45, of Bartles Hollow, Ketton, was ordered to complete 120 hours of community service after being found guilty of dangerous driving on January 11 last year in Tinwell Road, Stamford. He was banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay £400 costs. He was also ordered to pass an extended driving test.

Grantham Magistrates Court

March 25: Simon Glithero, 39, of Stephenson Way, Bourne, admitted driving without due care and attention in Meadow Drove, Bourne, on November 21 last year. He was fined £115 with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

March 27: Clive Armstrong, 48, of Lambeth Walk, Stamford, was convicted of driving without insurance or the appropriate driving livence on the A1 near Grantham on December 16 last year. The case was proved in his absence. He was fined £800 with costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £80. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Simon Bullock, 32, of Church Street, Deeping St James, was convicted of driving a van without a valid test certificate in Barholm Road, Tallington on June 2 last year. The case was proved in his absence. He was fined £200, with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

John Taylor, 40, of Trinity Road, Stamford, pleaded guilty to driving without the appropriate insurance in Great Close, South Witham, on May 15 last year. He was fined £400, with costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Spalding Magistrates Court

March 27: A woman from Deeping St James was convicted in her absence of failing to ensure her child regularly attended school. She was fined £400 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £40 victim surcharge. The Mercury cannot name her because it would identify the child.

April 4: Lewis Clayton, 28, of Scotgate, Stamford, admitted causing £650 damage to a window belonging to Delcor in Bath Row, Stamford, on November 17 last year. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £650 in compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Loughborough Magistrates Court

March 27: Lauren Clayton, 20, of Hall Close, Cottesmore, admitted driving without due care and attention on July 7 last year at the junction of Church Street and High Street in Oakham. She was fined £100, with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. She was disqualified from driving for six months.

Danny Carroll, 27, of Gaol Street, Oakham, admitted assault by beating on January 23 in Oakham. A 12-month community order was made and he was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
