Don’t leave your car unattended

Police have warned drivers not to leave their cars while they are defrosting.

Sgt Steve King, of Leicester Police, said; “Most thieves are opportunists who are just looking for that one chance to steal your car.

“Others take advantage of the cold weather and are actively on the look out for an easy target.

“On icy mornings when the car needs to be defrosted you should stay with your car.”

Police will be handing out advice leaflets.
