The county’s police and crime commissioner has released an updated version of his plan for the next four years.

Sir Clive Loader has added new information to his police and crime plan after consultation with the public and partner organisations.

The initial version of the plan was published in March. Sir Clive then invited residents and community groups to have their say.

The updated plan includes four key aims: reducing offending and reoffending; supporting victims and witnesses; making communities and neighbourhoods safer; and protecting the vulnerable.

Sir Clive said: “When I launched my first plan earlier in the year I made it clear that I intended to refresh it on a yearly basis to ensure that it is still fit for purpose and continuing to meet the needs of local communities.

“Now, having listened to and learned from widely diverse viewpoints, I have made some changes to the original plan.”

“My plan is by no means final. Further revisions will take place as the landscape changes in the areas of funding, crime patterns and national policing obligations.”
