Halloween measures in place

SHOPS are cracking down on anti-social behaviour by not selling eggs to under 16s around halloween.

Police have given out Do Not Disturb signs for residents worried about trick-or-treaters.

On-the-spot fines will be handed out to anyone under 18 caught with fireworks in public, and shops will not be selling them to under 18s.

Police in Rutland also visited schools to talk to pupils about anti-social behaviour.

A free halloween disco for youngsters aged 11 to 16 will be provided by police on Friday next week from 7.30pm to 10pm at Stamford Queen Eleanor School in Green Lane.
