Man accused of stabbing at Stamford pub has case adjourned during court appearance

A Stamford man accused of a stabbing at a pub had his case adjourned when he appeared before Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.

Sean Mitchell, 45, of All Saints Street, Stamford, is charged with wounding with intent following an incident at the St Mary’s Vaults pub, in St Mary’s Street, Stamford on Sunday, June 12.

No charge was put to Mitchell on Monday. The case was adjourned for a further hearing on September 2 and Mitchell was remanded in custody.

A 53-year-old Stamford man was taken to hospital following the incident with multiple wounds to the neck. He was later discharged from hospital.
