A former Lincolnshire police community support officer was remanded in custody at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday last week after admitting the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Michael Yardley, who served as part of the Sleaford neighbourhood policing team from 2008, pleaded guilty to raping the girl on October 27, 2010.
Yardley, 35, of Haconby Lane, Morton, also admitted four charges of sexual activity with a young girl between November 2010 and April this year.
Judge Sean Morris adjourned sentence until the New Year to allow for the preparation of a report to assess the danger posed by Yardley.
The Judge placed Yardley on the sex offenders’ register and told him “This is going to be a custodial sentence”.
