Man in hospital after attack in Stamford nightclub

A MAN is in hospital after being attacked in a nightclub.

A 30-year-old man was punched in the head in Central Nightclub in Broad Street, Stamford at about 1.30am this morning (Friday).

The man, believed to be from the Stamford area, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge with a head injury.

A 32-year-old man from the Sheffield area was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being questioned.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information should call police on 101.
