A jewellery shop manager has thanked customers and neighbouring businesses for offering their support after a burglary.

Thieves stole thousands of pounds worth of Pandora bracelets and charms from You & Beyond in St Mary’s Street, Stamford, in the early hours of November 21.

Shop manager Ben Stevenson was devastated when he learned of the theft.

But he said he was grateful to his customers and the businesses around the shop for their support since the incident.

Mr Stevenson said: “A lot of the shops nearby were very supportive and came round with coffee and offered support.

“Everyone has got in touch in some way or another offering anything they can.

“And customers said they were prepared to wait for us to get the stock back or would choose something else rather than going elsewhere.

“We are an independent business and we value local shopping.

“We are very grateful to them for staying with us.”

Since the burglary the shop has upgraded its security and is trading as normal.

Mr Stevenson added: “We just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has supported us.”

Police have appealed to witnesses to the burglary, and are examining CCTV footage from the night. So far no-one has been arrested.
