New police sergeant joins Oakham’s Safer Neighbourhood Team

A new police sergeant has joined Oakham’s Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Sgt Joanne Hodson, who was based at Melton, has taken on the role, joining Sgt Chris Wharton, beacon officer PC Joe Lloyd and four other officers on the beat.

Sgt Hodson said: “ It’s lovely to be here. We’ve got a group of experienced officers who understand the community.”
