Police hunt for pair who attacked jogger with a knife in Colsterworth

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a knife attack on a teenage jogger.

The assault took place on a path near the Isaac Newton Memorial Hall playing field in Colsterworth between 1pm and 1.30pm on Monday last week.

A 17-year-old was jogging on the path when he was stopped by two men, believed to have been in their late teens.

Police said the men spoke to the victim before pulling out a knife and cutting his arm.

The victim tried to defend himself by punching one of the attackers. But one attacker then slashed him across the ribs with the knife before the pair ran off towards High Street.

One of the attackers is described as white, 5ft 9in tall and of skinny build, with black medium-length hair. He was wearing a pink T-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms and had a deep voice.

The other is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall and very skinny, with short brown hair. He was wearing a red T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms and had a scar on his left cheek.

Police believe the attackers regularly visit the Isaac Newton Memorial Hall playing field and often play football there.

If you have any information call police on 101.
