Police have issued an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection to the attempted abduction of a school boy.
An 11-year-old Bourne Academy pupil was approached by a van driver in North Street, Bourne, at about 8am on December 2. The man tried to force the boy into the van before driving off.
Police have put together the above picture of a man they want to talk to about the incident. The tattoo on his face and neck is an indication of the type of tattoo he had, and has been described as “writing, but not English.”
A statement on the Lincolnshire Police website said: “Police investigations into the incident are continuing and officers are urging the public’s help in reporting anything that could assist their enquiries.
“Were you in the area of North Road and Stanley Street in Bourne on Tuesday, December 2, between 8am and 8.30am? This would have been at the height of the school run period, and police are hoping that someone may have seen some suspicious activity, or the van described.”
Anyone with information, or who recognises the man in the e-fit, is urged to call 101 quoting incident 92 of December 2. Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
