Teenager charged with criminal damage and assault by beating in Oakham

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with five offences of criminal damage to cars or vans.

The offences are said to have occurred in Grampian Way, Oakham, in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.

The boy has also been accused of two counts of assault by beating on different female victims, which are also alleged to have happened in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.

He has been given bail on conditions, including not to go to Grampian Way.

He is due to appear at Leicester Youth Court on January 16.
