Teenager James Pollard from Oakham given seven months detention after admitting assaults
A man has been sentenced to seven months detention after pleading guilty to four counts of common assault.
James Pollard, 19, of Woodland View, Oakham, admitted to the assaults which took place in Melton Road, Oakham, on December 21 .
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage after smashing a window in High Street, Oakham, on November 16.
Pollard was charged for the offences while subject to a six-month suspended sentence, imposed in August last year, for possessing an offensive weapon and assault by beating.
At Leicester Crown Court on Thursday last week, he was given four months detention in a young offender institution for the assaults, one month to run concurrently for the damage, and activated three months of the suspended sentence.
