Thieves steal jewellery from Wansford house

Police have appealed for witnesses after burglars stole jewellery from a home.

Thieves broke in to a house in Elton Road, Wansford, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on July 31.

They stole a large amount of jewellery and watches, including a Rolex and Christopher Ward watch; Indian gold rings with precious gemstones; an Indian gold necklace, with gold pearl-shaped pieces; a diamond wedding band; a 9ct gold necklace; an iPod Nano ; and a Samsung Notebook.

DC Tom Corbett, investigating, said: “Many of the items are of sentimental value to the victim.

“She is desperate for the property to be returned and I would urge anyone with any information to call police.”
