POLICE have appealed for information on the anniversary of an arson attack which forced an elderly couple from their home and killed their pet dog.

The couple managed to climb down a ladder but their greyhound Toby, who was recovering from an injury and would not climb the stairs, was killed in the fire.

Police issued CCTV of a masked cyclist seen riding through the village on the night of the blaze but have not yet found the arsonist.

Det Sgt Jon Shield, who is leading the investigation, said he wanted people to take another look at the case and come forward if they have any information

He said: “This was an extremely traumatic experience for the couple and they could easily have been killed.”

More evidence on the arson can be viewed on the Lincolnshire Police website.
