Witness appeals after series of thefts in Stamford

Police are investigating a series of crimes in Stamford during the past few days.

A petrol lawn mower, garden table and metal rotary washing line were stolen from outside a home in Redcot Gardens between 4pm and 4.20pm on Thursday last week.

If you saw anything, call 101 quoting incident 272 of February 27.

Lintels were taken from a building site in Belvoir Close between 4.30pm on Thursday and 7.10am on Friday last week. Incident 83 of February 28.

A black and white Cube bicycle worth £1,200 was stolen from a home in Waverley Gardens on Saturday night. Incident 174 of March 1.

An iPhone 5 was take from a woman’s handbag in The Pear Tree pub in Broad Street also on Saturday night. Incident 162 of March 2.

A woman’s purse was stolen from a trolley in Tesco in High Street at about 1.15pm on February 14. Police are looking for a woman who was wearing a dark, knee-length coat with a fur-lined hood. Police have only just released details of the incident. Call investigating Officer PC 51 Donaldson on 101.

And a gate lock at a home in Braemer Close was damaged between 11am and 2pm on Thursday last week. Incident 191 of February 27.
