GYM members collected dozens of tins of food for needy and vulnerable people.
Curves gym in Stamford Walk, Stamford, spent March collecting tins of food after appealing to its members.
The food drive is held annually at the women only gym in aid of the Evergreen Care Trust.
Circuit coach Charlotte Rose was one of the organisers and said the gym had set a target of collecting 300lb worth of food but had exceeded this by more than double.
She said: “Some people are still bringing in tins.
“Our members are always very generous and on behalf of all the staff here at Curves, I would like to thank them for their generosity.
“Evergreen Care Trust was very grateful for the donation, which will hopefully help a lot of needy people, and the gentleman who came in to do the collection was overwhelmed with the amount of food.”
