Day Trust Fund appeal almost at £10,000

A FUND to help two teenagers has nearly reached the £10,000 mark.

The Mercury has been backing the Day Trust Fund appeal, which was launched by our sister title the Melton Times.

The fund will help Kimberley Day, 15, and her brother Adam, 13, both pupils at Catmose College in Oakham.

Their parents Toby and Sam and younger sister Genevieve, six, died at their home in Melton on December 8.

It is believed their father attacked the family before turning the knife on himself.

Well-wishers have continued to bring cheques in for the appeal, including a cheque for £110 which was brought into the Mercury in Sheep Market, Stamford.

To donate to the fund, either bring a cheque into the office made payable to “Day Trust Fund Kimberley and Adam”, or make a donation at the Melton Mowbray Building Society, which has a branch in High Street, Oakham. The account number is NIC3354993DAY.
