ARMY cadets have enjoyed taking part in an annual camp filled with different activities.

Fourteen cadets from the Deeping detachment of the Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force went to the event which was held at Deverill Barracks in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Activities at the camp, which started at the end of last month and finished on August 10, included military training, walking expeditions, climbing, archery, rifle shooting and much more.

Second Lt Nick Clare, who is the Deeping detachment commander, said they all the cadets had a fantastic time during their stay.

A highlight was the Deeping detachment winning the Poachers Cup for the most improved detachment in the Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force.
