HUNDREDS of people are set to attend the Deeping Show this weekend.
The event takes place at the Showground in Millfield Road, Market Deeping on Saturday and Sunday, and horse events, cattle shows and exhibition marquees are due to feature at the show, which has been running since 1945.
The main attractions on Saturday include the horse and pony events in the venue’s main ring and the thrilling spectacle of a gymkhana ride take place.
On Sunday there will be chariot racing, terrier racing and brass bands as well as an appearance from Cyril the Squirrel.
Sheep shearing demonstrations and wool spinning and basket weaving sessions are due to take place and there will also be a restaurant and bar and much more entertainment, including rural crafts and displays.
Gates open at 8am. Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for juniors and OAPs.
