A DJ has released a single to raise money for a children’s charity.

Tom Robins, known by his stage name Roobinz, has remixed the song One & Only, by Stamford band The Harrington Blues.

He has released the song on iTunes and will donate all the proceeds to the NSPCC.

Tom, 21, of Kesteven Road, Stamford, said: “I am friends with all the members of The Harrington Blues and they have recently started making their own music.

“I thought it would be good for two local artists of completely different genres to come together. I was going to do a whole album of remixes but started with two tracks and this was one of them.

“It became quite popular and I thought it was a good idea to release it and earn some money for charity.”

Tom chose the NSPCC because he admired the work it does with families.

He added: “I thought it would be nice to do something for them and it’s a different way to raise money.

“I don’t run or anything like that but I make music, so it’s a way to raise money that fits in with my personality and with what I do.”

Tom has been making music for years and specialises in electronic and dance music.

He regularly plays at venues in the area and plans to release more material soon.

The Harrington Blues remix One & Only, by Roobinz, is available to download from iTunes for 79p.
