MORE than 50 dogs competed in nine classes during a fun family show on Sunday afternoon.

Animal lover Anna Griffiths decided to organise the show, which took place at Caldecott playing field, and was overwhelmed when more than 100 people brought their furry friends to compete in the sunshine.

As well as watching the dogs compete in a range of classes, visitors also had the opportunity to browse the stalls.

The event raised more than £700 for Help for Heroes.

Anna said: “I’ve always wanted to organise a show like this and I thought what better charity to do it for than Help for Heroes.

“I really was shocked that so many people came out because I thought we would raise about £200.

“Everyone seemed to be having a great day and I’d like to thank everyone who came to support the event.”
