Families and their pet dogs were having fun in the sun at a village’s annual event day.
Exton Day took place on Bank Holiday Monday and about £1,600 was raised in aid of parish church in the village.
The day’s main attraction was the dog show, which attracted more than 60 competitors from across the county.
Best in show was border terrier Monty, owned by Amy Turner and Harry Coups from Uppingham, while deerhound Rigsy, owned by Helen Jansons from Oakham, won best puppy. The show also featured a raffle, tombola, table top sale, homemade cake sale and barbecue.
Organiser Annette Oliver said: “There was a wonderful response from the village and the superb weather ensured a good turnout. It was fantastic and my thanks goes to everyone who helped out.”
