A RUGBY club has a new fence thanks to a donation from a community group.

Stamford Rugby Club has thanked Stamford and District Kiwanis for its £1,500 donation, which went towards the cost of new fencing.

The Kiwanis have supported a number of clubs in the town which help youngsters.

The rugby club, which is based in Hambleton Road, has more than 300 youngsters, who are aged between four and 17 on its books.

Club president Steve Fowkes has thanked the Kiwanis for the donation.

He said: “The Kiwanis do great work for good causes in the town and this contribution helps us with the continual task of improving our facilities for all who use them.”
