THE memory of a former youth worker will be marked in a special celebration.

A cheque for £500 was given to Teenzone held at Christchurch, in Green Lane, Stamford, in memory of Mick Clipsham, of Cappitt Drive, Northorpe, Bourne, who died in July.

The money was raised by a collection at Mick’s funeral and was presented to Teenzone, where Mick used to work, by his widow Theresa and son Mark last week.

Operations manager at the church Mike Mills said: “We want to do something special with the money in Mick’s memory so the children will remember him.

“I am sure they will want to do something special to mark the occasion.”

Teenzone is held at the church every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and caters for nine to 19-year-olds both after school and in the evenings.
