Residents are being encouraged to take up the opportunity of a free driving refresher course.
Rutland County Council is launching Carry on Driving, which is aimed at drivers over 60 and aims to enable motorists to update their skills.
The course is being run by the council’s road safety officer Tish Barnwell and an Oakham based driving instructor on May 3 and September 23 in the council chamber in Catmose, Oakham, from 3pm to 5pm.
The course aims to enable motorists to update their skills to be able to adapt to driving on ever busier roads.
Coun Martyn Pocock, who is in charge of highways and transportation for the council, said: “I would encourage residents to take the opportunity to go on this free course to refresh their skills.”
