Art students from New College Stamford show off their work at art exhibition

STUDENTS are showing off their creative sides at an art exhibition.
Foundation diploma in art and design students from New College Stamford have a wide variety of work at on display at Stamford Arts Centre.
The exhibition, which runs until Friday next week, features work from every student on the course as well as contributions from foundation degree and degree courses at the college.
Anastazja Jasinska, 18, from Langtoft, is pictured below with a painting based on a Native American Indian text.
She said: “It features the four elements and looks at what life is based on.”
Emily Bowers, 18, from Weston near Spalding, is pictured with three pieces based on Chatterton Solicitors in Broad Street, Stamford.
She said: “We were each given a building. The pictures show it in morning, day and night. I wanted to spice it up a bit.”
Cecily Boon, 18, from Stamford, is pictured with some of her sculptures.
She said: “We were given a building to base our work on, I was given the old hospital building so I based all my work on medicine.”
Katie Broder, 20, from Peterborough, displayed prints based on Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World along with a number of photographs.
And Tim Crofts, 50, from Ketton, showed a sculpture he made as part of his foundation degree in illustration.
It explores transgender issues and the similarities between men and women.
