PUPILS are on their marks for the Olympics.

Barnack Primary School has been selected to be part of the Get Set Network, which recognises work done to promote the Olympic values ahead of the London games in July.

Headteacher Stuart Wainwright said: “We are really thrilled to be a part of the Olympics. We have done a lot of work on values in the school.

“We have a half-termly focus on a particular value and a lot of the Olympic values have been incorporated.”

The school will prepare for the games with a visit from the torch used in the 1946 games. Mr Wainwright also hopes to attract some athletes.
