Bourne Academy pupils learn crime-solving skills

Pupils traded their uniforms for crime scene suits during a forensic workshop.

PULSE Education and Business Services brought a crime scene investigation team to Bourne Academy.

A group of 25 Year 10 and 11 pupils learned a skills such as fingerprinting, collecting trace evidence and footprint analysis

They then used their knowledge to investigate the crime scene while wearing authentic protective clothing.

Assistant headteacher Steph Braines said: “All students enjoyed the day and found it an excellent addition to the general day-to-day curriculum”.
