Business pupils at Bourne Academy had business projects put to the test when they entered Bourne’s very own Dragons’ Den contest.

The Year 13 BTEC business pupils had to create a product and come up with a sales pitch for the ‘dragons’; including proving how eco-friendly their products were.

Head teacher Laurence Reilly said: “The standard gets higher every year from the students studying business studies and this brought the classroom learning into reality to motivate students to work hard.”

Bourne Business Chamber member Jane Whitehead, who was part of the Dragons’ Den panel, said: “I was most impressed with the four groups. Their ideas for new products were excellent and they presented themselves professionally.”
