A pupil will have her art on exhibition in London after being been selected by a Stamford art group.
Bourne Academy pupil Abby Newland will be one of 20 artists displayed at the Royal Society of British Artists’ annual show for both established and new artists at the Mall Galleries in London.
The work will be on display until 17 March.
Abby was put forward for the competition by the Stamford Decorative and Fine Arts Society whose members attended A level art exhibitions last summer term to select entries from the area.
Abby’s work, a painting called Thurlby Fields was one of four entered from the region.
The picture has also been chosen for exhibition at John Lewis in Oxford Street subsequent to the show at the gallery.
The show is open to the public.
