More than £700 was raised a school’s autumn fair at the weekend.

Brooke Hill Academy held the event after on Sunday after its summer fair had to be
cancelled due to bad weather.

The day was organised by the Friends of Brooke Hill Academy Trust.

It featured a range of fun activities including a bouncy castle, hook-a-duck competition, raffle, tombola and cake sale.

The funds raised will be put towards PE and play equipment for pupils at the school in Brooke Road, Oakham.

Headteacher Sharon Milner was delighted the event was a success.

She said: “It went really really well. It was a beautiful day and we had a really good turnout.

“It was lovely to see lots of children helped out on the stalls and we were delighted to raise more than £700.”

Mrs Milner has also thanked the Friends of Brooke Hill Academy Trust.

She said: “A huge thank you goes to the trust which helped organise the event.

“The members worked brilliantly and
tirelessly to put it all together.”
