A primary school is celebrating after improving in its recent Ofsted report.
Teachers and pupils at Catmose Primary, in Sandringham Close, Oakham, are celebrating after it achieved a rating of good, improving from its previous rating of satisfactory.
The report said: “The executive principal and vice principal, with good oversight of the governing body, have raised pupils’ achievements and improved the quality of teaching since the previous inspection.”
Inspectors said the majority of the lessons inspected were rated as outstanding.
Executive principal Stuart Williams was delighted with the report.
He said: “I’m extremely pleased that the hard work and commitment of both staff and pupils has been reflected with this improved grading.
“We are now on the cusp of being an outstanding school, and this will be the focus moving forward.
“Catmose Primary is committed to providing an outstanding education to pupils and we will continue to work to provide this.”
