A private school’s £6.1m sports centre will be opened to limited public membership after a management plan was approved by councillors.

Stamford Endowed Schools were granted permission to allow 300 people to become members of its sports centre in Conduit Road for a 12-month trial period in July.

South Kesteven District Council’s development control committee asked the school to submit a management plan for the centre before the trial could begin. And yesterday (Tuesday) the committee voted to approve the plan.
