Design mascot and torch for The Leiecester-Shire and Rutland School Games Championships

YOUNGSTERS have been challenged to design an Olympic-style mascot and torch for an athletics event.

The Leicester-Shire and Rutland School Games Championships will take place at Leicester Grammar School on Tuesday, July 10, and organisers want Rutland pupils to come up with a mascot for the games.

The mascot should cover the school games values of excellence, determination, honesty, passion, respect, self-belief and teamwork with a Rutland theme. The county will also have its own torch and organisers want pupils to come up with a design that shows off the best of Rutland.

Mascot and torch designs should be e-mailed to Rutland school sports development manager Matt Short at mshort@rutland.gov.uk. For more visit www.lrsport.org.
