Youngsters have been feeling the benefits of walking to school.

Last month Colsterworth Primary School pupils took part in International Walk to School Month.

Children were encouraged to walk to school every day and were kept safe thanks to a donation of hi-visibility wristbands from David Wilson Homes.

Headteacher Lesley Tapsell said: “We believe walking to school is important and try to encourage as many of our pupils as possible to walk to school in a safe and sensible fashion.

“It is great to see a developer support such a valuable initiative and we really appreciate the donation from David Wilson Homes.”
