Foundation degree photography students put their best work on show when they joined forces for an exhibition.

A group of New College Stamford students on their second year of a creative and editorial photography course displayed their work at London’s Four Corners Gallery this summer.

Students on the course are given the chance to develop their photographic skills with the aim of starting a career in the industry. The chance to showcase their projects at professional galleries is just one of the external opportunities they are given to establish their names.

Creative arts lecturer Graham Wills said: “A London exhibition gives students the opportunity to reconnect with many of the professionals they encounter during their studies.

“It also provides a useful promotional platform to market their work to agencies and wider commercial audiences.

“A major exhibition in London must be a daunting prospect for students from a small regional College, but we are very proud of their exceptional professionalism.”

The exhibition held a private viewing on June 19 and was on show to the general public until June 23.

The college said initial feedback from industry and the public was positive and it was hoped the students would be able to utilise the exhibition to progress their careers as they leave the college and enter the working world.
