Rutland MP Alan Duncan has visited Catmose College to meet principal Stuart Williams and discuss his plans for a new sixthform in the county.
Catmose College is currently working with Uppingham Community College and Oakham School on a bid to launch new free school Harington School.
The pair talked about the plans as well as the progress of the college itself.
Mr Duncan said: “I was very pleased to be able to visit Catmose College again. The school is clearly going from strength to strength and it is good to see the clear evidence of those improvements.”
Mr Williams said: “It was great to catch up with Alan and have the opportunity to discuss with him why Harington School is so important to the young people of Rutland, so that they can access a local provision.”
